Our Trees in 2014
Of our 12 hectares (30 acres) we grow Christmas Trees on about half. Our trees are grown on a sustainable basis.
The Christmas Trees are Pinus radiata var Don or Monterey pines and are from specially selected provenances with good Christmas tree characteristics. P. radiata are originally from Monterey in California.
The trees we harvest are replaced and the fast growing young trees absorb the carbon dioxide released by the harvested trees.
In this way we are happy to say our Christmas Tree business is carbon neutral. All our Christmas Trees are hand pruned.
